Well, if you’ve been given a date to appear in court, you either need to hire a lawyer immediately who may be able to waive your appearance at that initial appearance or arraignment as it may be called after you’ve received the ticket, or you’re going to have to appear yourself. Failure to appear or to have a lawyer handle the matter for you via paperwork may result in a warrant being issued for your arrest. I’d advise that you consult with a lawyer immediately to determine what you need to do relative to any ticket that’s requiring a court date on your behalf.
