When you hear the term white-collar crime, what usually that includes are crimes that involve money, large amounts of money; probably usually something that might involve fraud, a business relationship. Typically we think of it as victimless crimes; but actually, crimes like that can have pretty serious victims, and victims who can be harmed financially in a very serious way. Overall, it’s different than the sort of crime that we think of when we think of murder or battery or drug crimes, in that it’s more focused on money and monetary financial transactions.
